Many roof timbers are often found to be decaying but not entirely defunct. Techniques such as scarfing have been used to secure the future of many roof timbers.  Oak features greatly in our joinery work, and is a traditional material used in buildings that are of ecclesiastical and historical importance.

Examples of projects with joinery skills:

• St Nicholas Church, Little Bowden - entrance porch and doors to new extension
• St Helen's Church, Stapleford - new servery/kitchen area, part of the re-ordering works
• The Priory Church of St Mary, Tutbury - provision of new facilities to include kitchen, toilets, meeting room and vicar's office and included new oak glazed panels to the meeting room, oak panelling to match existing and new oak doors.  Oak window boxes and serving hatch completed the overall appearance.
• This project is currently a short-listed contender for the 2010 EMCBE Awards to be held on 14 October 2010, and was featured in the September/October edition of the Church Building Magazine
• St Philip & St James' Church, Ratby - scarfing of roof timbers to preserve the life of remaining existing ones
